FAQ

Is Dana Doggett your real name?
No, Dana Doggett is not my real name, it is a screen name. I chose the screen name because of my longtime participation in the X-Files fandom. Dana (as in Dana Scully) and Doggett (as in John Doggett). Scully is my favorite female XF character, and Doggett is my favorite male character - the username is a combination of my two favorite characters from the show. Coincidentally, the Doggett/Scully relationship is my pairing preference for "The X-Files" series.

Your username suggests that this should be a X-Files website, why isn't it?
I have separate website URLs for my X-Files fan sites. DanaDoggett.com is my personal creative website. I do have a lot of collages and fanfic for "The X-Files" series, but I do not limit myself to being creative for just one fandom. Check out the Websites section of this site to find links to my X-Files fan sites.

I want to get to know you better, how can I do this?
The best way to get to know me better is to register at my X-Files forum, Serenity of X Forum, because this is really the only place online that I frequent anymore. It is first and foremost a X-Files discussion forum, but for those of you not interested in that show we do have discussion folders for other topics. Alternatively, you can find me on Facebook. I have both a personal Facebook account (Dana Doggett) and a Dana Doggett Facebook Page.

I've attempted several times to e-mail you, but I've never received any response, why?
There are a few reasons why I have not e-mailed you back. 1) Sometimes personal emails go into my "spam" folder or "trash" folder without my knowing. 2) I try to check my email at least once a week, but sometimes I forget. 3) You have sent me flames, threats, rude comments, etc. and I do not respond to such messages. 4) You and I have had problems in the past and I'm ignoring you so that you'll just go away and leave me alone. I don't like conflict, and I don't like to participate in conflict and this is the best way to avoid it. 5) I've read your e-mail and I'm procrastinating on getting back to you. If this is the case I apologize for my procrastination.

Why don't you make more Misha Collins, Castiel, and Supernatural collages, wallpapers, icons, and fanfic?
I have noticed in the past year that most of the visitors to my site who come here via a search engine are finding me with keyword searches using "Misha Collins", "Castiel", or "Supernatural". I do absolutely love and adore Misha, Castiel and SPN, but I haven't had the time to really delve into the creative side of my love of those things. I do intend to create some delicious Misha, Castiel and SPN artwork, but I do not know specifically when that will happen. As for the fanfic, I feel that "Supernatural" takes care of its characters well and that very little needs to be "fixed" in my mind for the show, and that's why I have not written any Castiel fanfic. I'm not saying this is a "never" situation, just that I don't feel that anything needs to be corrected on the show. When I watch a show and feel that the writers have screwed up, that is when I feel most motivated to write fanfic.

What happened to your For Sale/For Trade section?
I removed those "for sale/for trade" lists because I already have two websites with the sale lists on them, and I found that keeping the list on this site made it impossible for me to remember to update these lists here. You can view my figure skating DVDs for sale here, and you can see what X-Files items I have for sale here. The lists on these two sites are updated as new items are added to my "for sale" collection.

Why do you say you're a fan of "The X-Files" when obviously you are not?
To best answer this question please read the section titled "Dana Doggett: The X-Phile" on this page. Thank you. If you still don't see why I like "The X-Files" after reading this, that's not my problem, that's your problem.
