needs some fixing

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm aware of the problem that some fanfic stories archived here are not uploaded online. I went to upload them just as I realized the problem only to realize that I do not have them on my computer anymore. I plan on finding the stories and uploading them this coming week. I apologize for that. With the nuke on the server last month and the frustrations of being unemployed I totally didn't notice this until now.

Also - and this is BREAKING NEWS in the world of Doggett fanfic... "Fox & Rat" Virtual Series has finally announced the premiere date for its second movie titled "Save The Future". The movie will be in three parts. The first part will be online July 17th (that's a Friday) and the following parts will be posted the last two Fridays of July. And... the season 10 premiere will be ten years to the day of the very beginning of FRVS... September 5, 2009. Mark your calendars!

We're back!

I know, I know. I had a note on the site saying it was going to move to another server host, but I changed my mind, WSNF is going to stay here on my domain.

Please note that I have taken down the Robert Patrick Forum and have replaced it with a link to the Serenity of X (SoX) Forum. The SoX Forum is my general X-Files discussion forum and it contains a Robert Patrick folder and a John Doggett folder for discussions (and Doggett/Scully folder for those of you who are interested in discussing the relationship between John and Dana with other fans). Please come on over and join in on the fun today! If you're not sure if SoX is the place for you, check out the Forum Rules in the Forum Information section of the forum to get a better idea of what SoX is about, additionally you can browse through our current discussions as a guest. Happy (belated) Birthday John Doggett!
new: layout - caps - poll - fanfic - artwork

New site layout! I hope this makes it easier to find what you are looking for. For those of you who visited my site when it was called Addicted To Doggett, you will notice that I've brought back the "I'm addicted to Doggett" graphics that you can use on your own site, also back... those of you who haven't yet been officially declared a Doggett Addict, now you can do so here. You can see what other Doggett Addicts have said here.

Also back from the Addicted To Doggett days are the Doggett Moments and Doggett Quotations! Check 'em out! I'm still not 100% done gathering up all the moments and quotes from all the Doggett episodes. I'm still using the excuse that the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics (and the pairs figure skating scandal) made me get so far behind in doing these moments and quotes.

I also started scanning the official trading cards that I have. I have season 8 done so far, keep checking back for season 9 and the Connections cards.

A new fanfic challenge! I've always, always, always wanted to see a story done about this month's fanfic challenge (especially on the series, but alas CC & Co. were not generous to my military storytelling desires), but to my knowledge fanfic of this topic does not exist. So in an attempt to get stories like this done, I'm challenging you, Doggett fans/authors, to give it your best shot.

Fanfic Challenge: Retired With Commendations
Due Date: June 1, 2009

In the official X-Files website biography for John Doggett it states:

"Previous to his police work, Doggett held the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps' Amphibious Unit and played a role in the Multi-National Peacekeeping Force for Lebanon Development. With six years in the military, he retired with commendations after being wounded in the line of duty."

Take that information along with the research done for this site on the United States Marine Corps page and write a fanfic depicting Doggett's time with the Marines, showing the reader what exactly happened that wounded Doggett and required him to "retire with commendations".

I've added some fanfic to the archive as well. It's been forever since I've done a fanfic update at WSNF and I figured with a new look that now would be the perfect time to do so. Since the closing of the fanfic archive X-Files Most Unwanted (XFMU), I have given some thought about archiving the Doggett stories from that site here on WSNF. Granted I won't be archiving any Doggett/Reyes (DRR) stories, but still, I'll do my best to get as much Doggett fic archived here for you all to read.
