Carlos Bernard was raised in Chicago, Illinois and was educated at New Trier High School. After graduation he moved on to Illinois State University. Next, Bernard attended the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco where he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree. He stated acting on stage and then moved to television. He had guest starring appearances in shows including “Walker, Texas Ranger” and “The Young and the Restless.” Although he has some film credits, he was relatively unknown until joining the cast of ’24’.

Bernard is, as well as an actor, an accomplished artist. He is bilingual in Spanish, trained in Judo and is a sports fan, his favourites being golf and basketball.
